Denmark Photos of Danish birdlife
The coastal lagoons in Northwest Zealand and mudflats offers a critical stopover site for migrating waders and other birds related to the sea. In recent years invasive species have penetrated the area. Fortunately due to EU funding it is now possible to introduce landcare management such as clearing and grazing in order to maintain and regain the original biotope.

I am domiciled near Tystrup on Zeeland, Denmark. From here I venture out to find subjects in the right the light. If not at home I like to go to Saltbækvig near Kalundborg which is a wildlife refuge. Here I find sea, insular waters and fields with wildflowers full of birds and butterflies.
During the dark winter months I like to visit beautiful places overseas to look for new species and landscapes. Pleace visit the galleries to see the highlights from each region.
